Answer: D. 9.
According to a report pulled together by the Washington Post, nine members of Congress have a net worth of at least $100 million, led by Rep. Darrell Issa. The Republican from California has an average net worth of nearly $450 million thanks to Issa’s work with Directed Electronics, a leader in the industry for vehicle anti-theft devices.
Six of the nine members of the $100 million club are Democrats while three are Republicans. In addition to listing the top dogs, the Post also lists the members of Congress with the lowest average worth.
